I love to read! Growing up, my favorite Christmas gift was a set of new Nancy Drew books. To this day, I usually have at least two books I’m in the middle of reading. By reading, I can travel to other lands, gain insights to my feelings, or just plain have a good time! My life is enriched by reading, and I’m inspired to help others feel that same sense of wonder.

“Living in an atmosphere of growth”, and helping others do the same, is my passion.  From my earliest years, through my corporate work in training and development, I have always been a teacher in one form or another. Over time, I have developed an appreciation for learner-centered, experiential learning. I bring this appreciation to all my work with readers, using the multi-sensory, Orton-Gillingham based, Barton Reading and Spelling System.

I have 4 years experience using the Barton System. I have worked in the Moreland school district in San Jose, CA, and with private clients. I’ve seen the tremendous results that can be achieved with the Barton System.  I look forward to working with you or your child(ren), helping them experience the joy and passion of reading.
